Vera Krasovec, MSW, RSW, has nineteen
years of experience working in private practice and community
agencies/organizations. During this time, she has devoted her training and
practice to specializing in the following areas: the traumatic impact of sexual
and domestic violence, eating disorders and body image concerns, transitioning
concerns for the transgendered person and their family, managing
anxiety/depression, and the impact of separation/divorce on children.
Experienced in working with adults and children, she employs a wide range of
treatment approaches (i.e. EMDR, cognitive-behavioural, narrative and
expressive therapies), determined by each individual's life context. In
addition, Vera offers clinical supervision, as well as consultation and support
to therapists /counsellors in the Niagara Region.
On a personal note, Vera studies and practices
Shaolin Kung Fu and Chi Kung. She has an interest in Eastern
traditions/philosophies and how they can assist in the healing process.
Vera has a Master of Social Work. She is a
member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service, and the
Ontario Association of Social Workers. Vera is also a Professional Member in
good standing with the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy.

Stress & Trauma Clinic two evenings a week, and deals primarily with
children and trauma, with an emphasis on EMDR. He is a well-known clinical
practitioner in the Niagara Peninsula, with over 25 years of experience in his
